IN A FEW DECADES, EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS WILL BE BEYOND COMPREHENSION.

“If you thought that the droughts and heat waves and super storms were big now,” says Dr. Joseph Romm, “these are just a taste of what’s to come.” Romm is a physicist, climate expert and the Founding Editor of climateprogress.org, where he works to more effectively communicate the risks associated with climate change to the general public.

Romm is also the author of several books, including “Hell and High Water: Global Warming—The Solution” and “The Politics and The Hype About Hydrogen: Fact and Fiction in the Race to Save the Climate.” In March 2009, he was named one of Rolling Stone’s “100 People Who Are Changing America.”

Before his time at climateprogress.org, Romm served as principal deputy assistant secretary from 1995 to 1998 at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, and in 1997 served as acting assistant secretary of the same.
